AVENIR GLOBAL today announced a restructuring within its management team to better support its global growth.
The Firm hired Katia Fontana as Chief Financial Officer of AVENIR GLOBAL. This position was previously held by Royal Poulin, who will continue as Executive Vice-President, optimizing the integration of all AVENIR GLOBAL’s operating companies. He will also continue to identify, evaluate and negotiate the acquisitions of new businesses that could join AVENIR GLOBAL in the coming years.
Ms. Fontana has more than 25 years of experience in the financial sector and holds the CPA designation. Starting her career at Deloitte, she quickly rose through the ranks and became Senior Manager, Assurance and Advisory Services. In 2004, she joined Groupe Dynamite as Vice-President, Finance and Administration, and progressed to the position of Chief Financial Officer. She was also very involved in other projects of the group’s main shareholder, including the Royalmount complex and the Four Seasons Hotel in Montreal.
AVENIR GLOBAL has gone through a great evolution over the past year. More than 300 employees joined the Firm via the acquisitions of Octane in Montreal, Padilla in the United States, and most recently, Cherry in London.
